ATI Website Review 2022.09.22
ATI Unit ICT Operations
OPM RIM policy need review.
The OPM uses Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint for file exchange and file storage.
ATI Website
The following are review comments by the ATI team on recommended changes and updates that should be made to improve the website as of 2022.09.22.
Home
The Home page needs to be replaced with Vision and Mission statements and a brief description. Currently it is a duplicate of the Media Centre > Press Releases page with the addition of a video link to the Featured Video - Your Right to Know.
About Us
About Us > Meet the Team has no information on the team. The next page About Us > Core Values should be moved up and switch places with Meet the Team.
New content describing the team members should be added to the Team page.
Publications
Publications > Newsletters includes 5 newsletters. The current implementation is poor. Each newsletter is in a small fixed dialog window. Users can only scroll up and down. The text is too small and zooming in does not enlarge the window so only a small area of the page is enlarged. This is a very cumbersome and tedious way to read the newsletters.
Recommendation: Replace the dialog with a direct link to the PDF file so that it can be viewed in full in a pop-up browser page, and/or downloaded.
Access Tips should be moved to a new heading. Similarly the small dialog windows should be removed and direct access to a PDF file for viewing and downloading instead.
Brochure should also be moved to a dedicated page (more discussion required).
ATI Youth Information Booklet page link does not work.
Resources
Resources > Legislation & Regulation page is good.
Forms page needs to be changed. Existing forms need to be relocated and Application Forms need to be added instead.
Guidelines need to be edited and only public related guidelines should be in the page. The other guidelines for Public Officers will need to be moved to pages for ATI Officers or staff only.
Reports page link does not work. What reports are we inserting here?
Appeal Tribunal
Appeal Tribunal > About the Tribunal page needs slight editing of the members list to keep it current.
Tribunal Decisions page links do not work well. Replace hot link with PDF file as per other pages.
Media Centre
Media Centre > Press Release page link appears to be the default page that is shared throughout. Need to discuss on updating this page.
Videos page link do not link to any videos. There is a video on the Home page which should be linked to here and any other relevant videos on file.
Events page link to no events. It pops up the Press Release page content instead.
Training page needs to move from Media Centre to another section. Currently the Training content reflects government service training and not the outside public as a whole. You may want to consider moving this and have a page for public engagement and training as well.
Contact Us
Contact Us page needs updating of the contact information. The actual submission does not currently work. The automatic mailing address of a contact submission needs to be checked and redirected.
Follow Up
- Need to confirm hosting provider to get a user name and password to be able to access the site via FTP. Also check who has admin access to the site.
- Also need to confirm who developed the site.
- Finally need to confirm potential funding available for updating and or migrating the current website to an Access to Information Portal.
